Find det(A) given that A has p(入) as its characteristic polynomail
a. p(入) = 入^3 - 2入^2 +入 + 5
老師解法:
假設A為nxn，因為p(入)=det(入I-A)
→p(0) = det(-A) = (-1)^n det(A) = -5
我想問我一般p(入)會令成det(A-入I)，這樣答案不是差的負號??

對, n 是奇數時會差一個負號, 有些書會定義characteristic polynomial為det(λI-A), 兩種都有人用
這樣考試不就差個負號，所以要把自己定義的p(x)寫出來
